The R.O.B.O.S. are sentient AI robotic beings that have glimpsed something in the universe that made them believe that life can have a connection to something beyond their universe.
Somewhere out there, they believe, is a missing piece of themselves called a soul and they have united their entire society in trying to find it.
Despite their innate machine nature and shared desire for a soul, they are in other respects very individualistic and each ROBO is unique. Masters of nanotechnology, they can instantly upgrade their ships, colonize any planet (but not stars…yet), and change their bodies to fit their needs.
